First post!
“So, ladies and gentlemen, it’s been a LONG time coming, but welcome to VanessaAlexandra.com!!
As I’m sure you’ll notice, things are still undergoing maintenance and probably will be for the rest of my life, haha.
Both myself and my genius, wonderful webmaster Jeremy Opio are both perfectionists (myself more so than him. He’s had to tell me “Dude, relax, don’t stress so much!” I don’t know how many times now) and so this site will always be changing. Something new will be around every corner every time you visit the site, because we’re constantly brainstorming and coming up with new ideas. Which I love, because who wants to look at the same stale website every time they visit it?? I know I don’t.
What you have to look forward to are photo shoots that will be exclusive to this site, green screen video blogs (the first of which will be coming sooner than you think;), behind the scenes footage and photos of different projects I’m involved in, TONS of more music (live performances included!),lots of silly and fun videos…including special cameos from some various familiar faces you might know, lots of journal entries, exclusive candid photos, the “Ask Vanessa A Question” section where you can ask me a question about whatever you like (within reason, there is a limit. I’m all about sharing my life with my fans and friends but i’m not going to tell you EVERYTHING, nor will I answer any out of line questions),a media section that’s going to have quite a lot of content in it in the near future and all kinds of different surprises and elements that will make this site much more entertaining, fan friendly and quite unusual from your typical models/singers personal site.
Also, even thought I haven’t updated my photo store, every photo you see on the site will be available as a print. They’re $20.00 each (unless you want bigger than 8X10 then you have to email me and I can tell you the price) and shipping is $5 within the US and $10 outside the US.
The only ones not available to be made as prints are the “Dead Girl” and “Wonka” photos, as that photographer never gave me anything but websized photos, so I don’t have any high-resolution photos to make prints out of.
I apologize for that.
I can make 5 X7’s of those if that interests you for some reason though!!!
They’re perfect size for that!
Those would only be $10 (S&H the same though).
And I can sign the prints with anything you want (nothing vulgar or just gross though, it’s at my discretion), I can draw something on it, I can kiss it, do whatever! You just have to specify when you order the print, I’m more than happy to.
I’m also really rushed and still trying to make the money I need to go to Japan with Junker Clothing this summer.
Please go read this blog on Myspace (here) and help out in any way you can.
And not just me, please donate to charities who are helping out the victims in Myanmar (which will always be Burma to me) and China. That’s a really important thing to me and those people need all the help in the world.
And I pray (yes, I do pray. Not to any god in particular, but to The Higher Power. I’m not religious, but I am very spiritual) that everyone who has been affected by these tragedies gets every kind of help they need. It makes me sad seeing all these people on TV just devastated. So please, help them too. I don’t have any links to give you to help donate to a particular charity (I just went through local ones here I found through a local news website) but just look around, they’re everywhere. Just make sure you’re giving to one that actually is going to help the people in need and not some greedy assholes who are trying to play off other people’s tragedy to benefit themselves.
But anyway!!! Enough cryptic sad stuff and self-selling bullshit.
I can’t tell you at the moment what is coming up, but you’ll find out soon!!! We all kind of agreed to keep it under wraps until it happens.
The first video for this site is a behind the scenes look at the photos you just saw in the flash opening! Which was done by the AMAZING and beautiful Jodie *Jeremy, I can’t remember her website or her last name so please enter it here or I’ll find it out and tell you so you can fix this for me!! She needs credit!!* and the photos are by my good friend Pat Berrett.
In case you haven’t noticed, this website is kind of a mindfuck. Haha. I wanted my site to be a representation of both sides of me, the “gothy” dark side and the bright, anime loving cartoony side! This is why the pages alternate between very bright and very dark.
But these photos came out amazing and the shoot itself was a blast with my friend Raven there, my hairstylist Sarah Chang there, and my Mom being the video person and my corset lacer (when all else fails, have your Mom be there to lace you into your corsets;). So enjoy this silly behind the scenes video, and expect much more in the future!
Thank you for all you love and support and thank you for coming to my site! Enjoy yourself and come back as often as you can, things will always be changing and you don’t want to miss anything!
**Vanessa**”

I also did a photoshoot this past weekend with my hair stylist Sarah Chang and it was photographed by my loooong time friend and photography genius Elliot Raymond.
I haven’t gotten the pictures yet (it’s for Marc Pardo Aveda Salon in Nob Hill, Albuquerque) but here’s an idea of what my hair looked like for the 2nd set of photos we took.
We made it a kind of retro curly fauxhawk.
I said I felt like a rocker Lucy Ricardo.
thanks to my Mom for taking these candid photos!!
